Salary: GBP 28,000 per annum, inclusive of Inner London Weighting

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for two Digital Fundraising Officers to join our Direct Marketing team on a fixed term basis.

As a Digital Fundraising Officer, you will work alongside the Assistant Digital Manager and Digital Fundraising Manager to plan and deliver digital fundraising campaigns using a variety of digital marketing channels (email, search, social media, display and mobile). Your role will be vital in maximising fundraising income across wider fundraising teams, and in supporting the team to acquire and retain supporters.

In the event of a major emergency appeal, the post holder will also be responsible for supporting emergency appeal activity online, including the creation of web pages with topical content, sending emails, creating Facebook adverts and managing search campaigns.

About the team
The Digital Fundraising team is a team of 8 and sits within the Direct marketing team in the Individual Giving department. The department is responsible for recruiting and developing supporters via digital, printed, broadcast and face-to-face media.

The digital fundraising team plays a key role in the fundraising division. In the event of an emergency, the team gears into action to launch an emergency appeal online, raising millions through multiple digital channels. From email and SMS to social media and display, the digital fundraising team leads on exciting online channels and projects. They also work closely with teams across the organisation, from Community Fundraising, Legacies and Direct Marketing to Media and Communications.

About the person
This role requires outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to plan and manage a wide variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines. The post holder will have a proven record of marketing in a growing and dynamic digital environment as well as hands on experience using digital tools - e.g. Google Analytics, content management systems and email broadcasting systems. An understanding of how to apply skills and experience to fundraising in a charity context is essential.
