GS coaches work full time in schools to provide outstanding sports programmes that develop social, thinking, emotional and physical skills that are designed to improve the life-chances of young people. Every programme is tailored to ensure it complements the needs of young people, the school and the community.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation and the Development team, with a new phase starting with the transformation of an extraordinary church into a sports centre for our programmes and to be used by the local community.

The Role

We are now recruiting an experienced Trusts & Statutory Fundraising Manager who will build relationships with, and generate income from, trusts, foundations and statutory grant-making bodies to support the trusts and statutory fundraising target of £1.3m for 2017-18.  In addition, you will develop comprehensive stewardship plans for all funders and effectively manage senior volunteers and Trustees to support these plans.

You will have line management responsibility, manage the financial systems that monitor the team’s income and expenditure, and oversee key systems and processes that enable the trusts and statutory fundraising strategy to be delivered successfully.

The Person

With demonstrable experience in income generation from trusts, foundations and statutory revenue streams, you will have a network of organisations to approach and experience of building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and supporters.  You will also have awareness and understanding of trends, legislation and Institute of Fundraising best practice guidance in relation to grant fundraising.

You will have the ability to write engaging and persuasive applications and demonstrate strong financial acumen as well as management skills.
