About us

Our vision is simple: we want a better world - where corruption is challenged and accountability prevails, where all can thrive within the planet’s boundaries, and governments act in the public interest.

At Global Witness we investigate and campaign to stop human rights and environmental abuses caused by corruption and the exploitation of natural resources.

In 2016 we raised £10m from our established and successful institutional fundraising programme, making it our most successful year to date and we’re now looking for a Grants Manager to play a key part in delivering our ambitious fundraising strategy and targets for growth

As our Grants Manager you‘ll identify and develop long-lasting and mutually-beneficial relationships with a variety of prospects.

You’ll research new trust, foundation, statutory and other fundraising opportunities and put in place plans and strategies for each donor.

You’ll produce high quality grant applications up to six figures in partnership with the campaign and finance teams.

About you

You’ll bring experience of securing grants from trusts/ foundations and statutory funders, as well as experience of working with senior staff and volunteers in a quick and target-driven environment.  You’ll also be innovative and persuasive, keen to build on the fundraising successes to date.

We’ll be looking to you to identify new fundraising opportunities so a creative and entrepreneurial outlook is essential.

Finally, collaborative by nature you’ll work sensitively to develop fundraising opportunities with a broad range of colleagues from our campaigners through to our communications team.

What you can expect from us

We’ll reward you through a combination of exciting and creative work together with a sector competitive salary and benefits package, high levels of engagement and involvement, and a commitment to your development.
