We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious person to fill the exciting new role of Head of Business Development. Working closely with the Chief Executive as part of the Strategic Leadership Team, the Head of Business Development will take a lead on generating the income and resources which enables OAH to fulfil its mission. Through leadership of the five staff in our Business Development Unit, you will be responsible for developing new fundraising activities and securing new partnerships and contracts that support the existing and emerging work of the charity. You will have overall responsibility for generating income through the Major Donor, Trusts & Foundations, Supporter Engagement and Corporate Partnerships programmes.
The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent with extensive and demonstrable experience of developing relationships and generating income in a role in the private, public or third sector and a proven record of success in achieving financial targets. They will also have confidence to engage with senior decision makers across a wide spectrum of organisations, and experience of developing marketing and communications plans. Excellent people management skills and the ability to lead teams and motivate others are essential.
