Job Description

Full time- 35 hours a week

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 11 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

The Private Sector fundraising team in The North of England is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Event Manager who is responsible for leading on a wide range of fundraising events across the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber.

The Events Manager is responsible for delivering an existing portfolio of fundraising events, maximising income through sales and sponsorship, and maintaining The Trust's reputation as an excellent event host. You will project manage all aspects of delivery including fundraising, venue identification and hire, working with suppliers, planning and logistics while ensuring compliance with our national events teams.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, adept at building and managing relationships and has the project management skills to deliver large scale events in the local area to exceptional standards.

The Prince's Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We prefer to hire people directly, but we do have a preferred supplier list for when we'd like a helping hand. We'll be in touch if we need you.

We reserve the right to change the closing date depending on the number of responses received. Please submit your application as soon as possible to ensure it is considered in the selection process. If you have a disability and can demonstrate that closing this post early would impact on your ability to submit an application in time, please contact our HR team to request arrangements for an application to be submitted within the original timeframe.
