Major Donor and Corporate Manager

Full-time
Permanent
Location: Finsbury Park, N4
Ref: CHA MDCM

We are looking for a highly skilled Major Donor and Corporate Manager to join our income and external affairs team.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive this role will be responsible for developing and implementing our major gift and corporate fundraising strategies, with the aim of securing investment from individuals and companies for Leap’s high-impact work for young people.

The successful candidate will further develop relationships to grow our individual giving and company giving, as well as deliver a programme of events to increase engagement. This is a superb opportunity for someone with a strong relationship building skills and fundraising experience, ideally in major gifts.

We are the UK’s only national charity that specialises in the creative management of youth conflict. Based on 30 years’ experience of delivering group training, Leap’s programmes aim to raise the emotional intelligence of participants and empower them to effectively manage the conflict in their lives.

As well as training young people, we deliver training for the frontline professionals who support them. By building the capabilities of these practitioners across the youth sector, our work has greater reach and longer lasting impact.

Leap’s work is funded through various sources including charitable trusts, statutory bodies, individual and corporate donations, and the sale of our training. Leap has grown its income rapidly in the last two years from £1.2m to £1.9m, with all income sources showing an increase. The Major Donor and Corporate Manager will be responsible for growing current income of around £300k from these sources to help us fulfil our ambitious plans.

The post-holder will build on strong foundations of growth. We have a growing group of individual supporters that donate between £1,000 and £25,000 per year and have established relationships with some high profile companies including Bloomberg and Old Mutual Global Investors. There is a strong commitment to fundraising across the organisation, indeed unusually for a UK charity almost all the trustees donate to Leap.

Benefits:

  • A generous pension scheme with up to 8% employer contribution, available upon employment
  • Flexible working with core hours between 10am – 4pm, Mon-Fri
  • We are open to approaches from applicants who may wish to fulfil the role on a flexible basis
  • 25 days leave (pro rata)
  • Leap is conveniently located within a short walk from Finsbury Park tube and mainline railway station
