Events Fundraising Officer

Based at Head Office, Barkingside, Greater London

We are looking for an experienced event fundraiser with a demonstrable background of event fundraising to deliver our challenge event portfolio. You will be an integral member of the Challenge Event and Community Fundraising team, working closely with the Senior Events Managers to grow Challenge Event income, across our running, cycling and extreme challenges programme. Working on events such as Virgin Money London Marathon, Great North Run, RideLondon and our Celebrity Borneo trek, you will have experience of generating income growth and driving excellent supporter experience through the delivery of event management. You will have substantial experience of working with event companies and third parties, as well as process management. You will be an excellent communicator, confident in managing a portfolio of event supporters, delivering high value stewardship in order to increase life-time value to Barnardo’s. You will have a good understanding of working with fundraising volunteers and the principles of community fundraising. You will use your creative skills and initiative to seek ways to improve our fundraising events offering. You will be confident managing multiple events, delivering them on time and within budget.
