We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Compliance Officer to design, implement and project manage quality and assurance training to both in-house and external agency fundraisers working on behalf of Barnardo’s.  You may have face to face fundraising management experience and this will ideally be alongside regulatory or compliance training experience.  You will deliver a programme that explains our work and provides specific knowledge of our current campaigns.

You may be a training, logistics or regulations manager looking to progress and develop your current skill set. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure adherence to all regulations including, but not limited to, the Fundraising Regulator, the IOF CD, the ICO, The Gambling Commission & ASA. 
  • Plan, coordinate and implement training and development programs.  This includes conducting, auditing, certification, etc. of training for all agencies and in house teams.
  • Relentlessly champion best fundraising best practice and ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirement specifically the Fundraising Codes of Conduct
  • Coordinate with training improvement resources to leverage “best practices”.
  • To maintain professional standards whilst representing Barnardo’s, ensuring both the reputation of the charity and dialogue fundraising are maintained.
  • To ensure good communication with Individual Giving Manager, In-House Manager, fundraising agency partners, team members and the public.
