We are looking for someone with vision, determination and entrepreneurial flair to lead our fundraising team to deliver in excess of £8million year on year and work towards our medium term goal of generating £10million voluntary income.  JDRF is a successful, growing charity with a skilled team of fundraisers benefiting from influential connections, networks and partnerships.

You will have experience and/or an understanding of a number of fundraising streams and have a consistent track record of delivering income growth built upon a solid business plan and budget. You will have the creativity to generate new ideas and ways of working that bring out the best in your people. As a strategic thinker, you will also add significant value as a member of the Senior Management Team. You will excel at supporting colleagues and will work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver the best outcomes for JDRF, our partners, people with type 1 diabetes and supporters.

Importantly, you will be an individual who enjoys achieving both personal and organisational goals and thrives upon motivating and leading a large staff team of fundraisers towards success.

JDRF is the type 1 diabetes charity, improving lives until we find the cure.  We fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. We also provide information and support for children and adults living with the condition at all stages from diagnosis and beyond.  We give a voice to people with type 1 diabetes and campaign for an increased focus on and funding for research to find the cure. Internationally we have funded £1billion of research so far.

This is an exciting time to be joining JDRF as we continue with our ambitious growth plans to become a £10million charity and support more of the best type 1 diabetes research in the world. We have an established fundraising structure and passionate staff team. We deliver a number of high profile events each year, have amazing networks and supporters, an established regional structure of offices as well as being a key member of the global network of JDRF charities.
