We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead a talented team generating income to help nature and wildlife across the three counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. You will be ambitious to grow the current income strands and manage the delivery of plans with members, donors and prospective supporters.

Location: Cambourne, Cambridgeshire with travel expected across the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 pa depending on skills and experience
Hours: full time but with a possibility of flexible hours depending on skill (full-time/part-time)

Job Description:

Working at a senior level, the Head of Fundraising will be responsible for the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and supporter journey with key regard to improved practices in relation to income generation and for membership development. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Fundraising and the Leadership Team (LT), this role will ensure that the strategies operate at maximum effectiveness through excellent team and cross functional planning and development.

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience of fundraising, with a strong background in initiating new and sustaining relationships

• Experience of developing and implementing a targeted organisational fundraising strategy

• Strong ability to build relationships with colleagues, donors and Trustees

• Line management experience

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work for a local conservation Charity and make a real impact for local wildlife. All the building blocks are in place to really grow income from high value donors, with exciting conservation projects such as the Great Fen and Nene Valley Living Landscapes as part of the fundraising portfolio. An interest in conservation is preferred but not essential.
