We are a small NGO with big plans.  We work internationally to promote reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, wherever inequalities exist.  Since we were established in 2002 we have successfully delivered over 40 international programmes reaching approximately 12,000,000 beneficiaries in 13 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.  We are proud that in these countries our programmes have expanded health enabling environments – promoting health and wellbeing and saving the lives of more than 6000 women and children.

POSITION SUMMARY

Women and Children First has an opportunity for a Fundraising and Communications Manager to join our friendly and dynamic team in London.  As Fundraising and Communications Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering Women and Children First’s fundraising and communications strategy, in line with relevant policies and regulation, to maximise ROI and grow restricted and unrestricted income through opportunities and audiences including, but not limited to, individual donors, major gifts, corporate donors and trusts and foundations.  It’s an exciting time to join our team.  We have a new CEO and are engaging a strategic review in 2018 to transform the organisation. We want you to be involved in helping to drive these changes.

YOU WILL:

  • Develop and lead the operationalisation of our Fundraising and Communications Strategies.
  • Lead a small team of part-time staff, freelancers and consultants.

YOU HAVE:

  • Knowledge of the charitable sector, best practice and regulations in fundraising, communications and marketing.
  • Experience and track record in all aspects of charitable fundraising, communications and marketing.
  • Strategic, operational, project and financial management skills.
  • Personal attributes including a strong commitment to the work of Women and Children First coupled with creativity, enthusiasm and a self-starting nature.
