The role: Supporting Porchlight’s overall fundraising strategy, this new role is an exciting development within the organisation and fundraising team.  The post-holder will play a big part in developing a major donor fundraising strategy, managing a portfolio of high value donor relationships, managing the cultivation events programme, securing income from high net worth individuals and establishing a culture for high level philanthropic giving within the charity.

You will be part of a supportive, dynamic and growing team that is working to help ensure that Porchlight can address the growing need for people that are excluded, isolated and vulnerable.

What you need:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in securing, developing and managing high value relationships.
  • Experience of soliciting mid to high level gifts.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with a solid understanding for the principles of philanthropy, major donor fundraising and tax-effective giving.
  • An ability to manage potentially long-term high value donor relationships with confidence, integrity, diplomacy and tenacity.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
