Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, highly experienced, and inspiring fundraiser to join our team in the South West. As a charity, we rely heavily on the income we generate through our various fundraising activities and channels which makes this role so important, and your experience so vital. Currently we have an ambitious fundraising vision in place and some exciting new projects on the horizon which we want you to be part of, and ultimately, help shape.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months. Your portfolio will be supporting our property teams across Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, North Devon, and Exmoor and will be based from our Bristol Hub.

What it's like to work here

The National Trust Consultancy is the home to specialists in every field of our work. A national consultancy, where resources are shared across disciplines and boundaries, it’s proving to be a great repository of skills, talent and experience. The diversity and quality of expertise within the Consultancy will enable our properties and places to benefit from an extraordinary range of creative and innovative thinking, as well as deep expertise in all matters relating to our twin purpose of caring for the nation’s heritage and landscapes, and making these accessible to all.

What you'll be doing

As a fundraising expert you will advise and inspire properties to create plans and set and reach targets through a range of fundraising income streams. You will support properties by actively raising direct income through trusts, grants and low level giving and be a real champion for increasing our legacy fundraising activity and developing and supporting new fundraising initiatives. And you will motivate and support property teams to maximise income from fundraising activities on properties.

Travelling to your ‘client’ properties is an essential (and fun!) part of the role, but you’ll have a base which will be your ‘home hub’ in your preferred location.

PLEASE NOTE: Internally your job title will be Fundraising Consultant

Who we're looking for

  • Experience of developing multi-income stream fundraising plans for projects with stretching targets and evidence of hitting these targets
  • Proven experience of building a compelling case for support
  • Proven consulting skills of listening, building trust and acting to deliver a high quality service to colleagues in external and internal networks
