The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 11 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a vibrant and successful major donor team at The Prince's Trust.

You will be leading on complex, high value relationships with a number of existing (6-7 figure) strategic funders of our work, as well as working with our committed influencer network to convert prospective new supporters. Proactively securing new business will be a key part of the role.

You will be seeing our work first-hand with young people on a regular basis, ensuring our existing and prospective supporters experience this life-changing work with you. We are a growing team, with many exciting initiatives and events underway which the successful applicant will play a key role in developing.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and versatile individual with an understanding of what motivates major philanthropists to support The Prince's Trust. They will be able to quickly grasp the 'macro picture' of the organisation's direction and strategy and communicate this in a meaningful way for different audiences. They will be comfortable to take initiative and present with personal credibility to senior personnel internally and externally, to include our SMT and Philanthropy Advisory Board.

They will be a clear communicator with excellent verbal and written presentation skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to balance multiple projects at once.

The Prince's Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
