Position: Fundraising Manager 
Location: Central Office, London (SE5) 
Contract: Full time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 per week 
Salary: £30,000 gross per annum

About the role: 

The Fundraising Manager will recruit and motivate people to support our vital work through regular giving, and in addition, you will work with our Volunteering Manager to promote opportunities to faith communities to actively make a difference. In addition to our core support base, you will also broaden our support to other audiences, support out Marathon runners, and over time, develop our income streams and your own role. 

You will provide day to day support to our Team Administrator, and work closely with our Trusts Fundraiser, Communications Manager, Finance team and others. You will play a vital role in securing essential core funding to support children whose parents are in prison, and other family members, who are often the only real source of support for people who want to make a fresh start after prison and live crime free lives. 

About you: 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fundraising team, leading on income generation streams, with a proven track record in generating income. You will be able to demonstrate effective face-to-face interaction and relationship-building with a wide range of people and have an excellent telephone manner. 

You should have previous experience of project managing successful fundraising initiatives such as appeals, direct mails, events or campaigns and will have knowledge of production processes for publications and literature, dealing with printing and mailing houses. You will also have an awareness of some of the key issues facing prisoners, ex-offenders, and prisoners’ children and families. 

You will need to have good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy. Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and CRM databases as well as good research skills are essential 

The role does require an ability to work flexible hours, with regular and frequent weekend working in order to speak at parish services. It will from time to time require travel and overnight stays to meetings across England and Wales.
