The Development and Alumni Relations Office secures philanthropic support from a range of individuals and organisations in the UK and beyond to enable Queen’s to fulfil institutional ambitions and to enhance the student experience.  Since its establishment in 2000, the Development and Alumni Relations Office, in partnership with the University and the Queen’s Foundation, has completed two successful fundraising campaigns generating over £270 million, underlining the growing importance of philanthropy and alumni engagement.

Reporting to the Assistant Director (Fundraising), you will lead the Health Fundraising team to engage alumni and supporters locally and globally to maximise giving to health-related areas within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences at Queen’s.

You will work closely with the Assistant Director (Fundraising) to shape the strategic direction of Health Fundraising at Queen’s and will assist with the overall direction of the of the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record at a senior level in the charity or higher education sector, which includes relevant experience of a major fundraising campaign or ongoing fundraising operation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with groups and individuals at all levels.  You will be resilient, self-confident and embody and uphold the University’s vision and values.
