Background Information

There are currently over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and this is expected to increase to 1.1 million by 2025, and 2 million by 2050.

In response to this Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse Service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions people need. The unique dementia expertise and experience an Admiral Nurse brings is a lifeline - it helps everyone in the family to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

The charity has seen significant income growth over the past four years, and we have ambitious plans to maintain this growth so we can significantly increase the number of Admiral Nurses, and the specialist support they provide.

Individual Giving will play a critical part in this growth, and we have a clear strategy and plan in place.

This year is an exciting time to join the Individual Giving team as we start to grow our programme over the next three years. Due to this we are expanding our team and are looking for a talented and ambitious individual to join us at this exciting time, as an Individual Giving Executive, and help transform our approach.

There’s huge potential at the charity and it’s a great opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark by helping to significantly grow the supporter base across a number of income streams.

Full details of the role can be found in the attached Job Description.

Please note we will only accept applications that include both a CV and a covering letter.

Interviews will take place w/c 18th June, date to be confirmed.
