Individual Giving Officer
£27,000 – 30,000 per annum
35 hours per week full-time, permanent
London SE1

Our vision is for a world with good mental health for all.

Our mission is to help people understand, protect and sustain their mental health.

Prevention is at the heart of what we do, because the best way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from happening in the first place. We inform and influence the development of evidence-based mental health policy at national and local government level. In tandem, we help people to access information about the steps they can take to reduce their mental health risks and increase their resilience.

We are currently recruiting a central role within our Individual Giving Fundraising Team, which is part of our Fundraising and Communications Department. The role offers the opportunity to become a key member of the team, and to be involved in delivering fundraising campaigns to new and existing supporters and contacts, testing new ideas and propositions, and working closely with colleagues across Communications and throughout the organisation. You will also help to ensure a wide range of communications are delivered in time and on budget, encompassing traditional marketing, DM, digital, telemarketing, supporter magazines and online communication channels.

To be considered for this exciting new opportunity, you’ll need useful, recent and relevant experience of working within a direct marketing team or marketing function, including exposure to database/direct marketing, donor acquisition, retention and development. You will also need knowledge of approaches and techniques to fundraise from individuals and be used to using a relationship database, preferably Raiser’s Edge. On a personal level, you will need excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as great attention to detail and the ability to think analytically. A relevant marketing or fundraising qualification would be an advantage but is by no means essential.
