This is an exciting role for a thorough and inquisitive individual with a keen interest in history and a desire to start a career in fundraising and prospect research. 

English Heritage tells the stories of England through the 420 sites and 500,000 paintings and artefacts in our care. From Stonehenge to Hadrian's Wall, Dover Castle to Iron Bridge, our sites span some six millennia and are visited by more than 10 million people each year. We are a new charity with big targets and the Development Department at English Heritage works to secure funding from private philanthropists, corporate partners, charitable foundations and statutory grant-making bodies.

The Prospect Research Assistant is a new role in the Development Department, the post-holder will work with the Prospect Research Manager and the Head of Development Operations to provide research and administrative support to fundraisers. They will contribute intelligence to briefings for events and meetings as well as finding prospects for specific fundraising projects and campaigns undertaken by the Department.
