This is an excellent role for an individual with some office experience to contribute to the work of a busy and successful fundraising team in a support role.

English Heritage tells the stories of England through the 420 sites and 500,000 paintings and artefacts in our care. From Stonehenge to Hadrian's Wall, Dover Castle to Iron Bridge, our sites span some six millennia and are visited by more than 10 million people each year. We are a new charity with big targets and the Development Department at English Heritage works to secure funding from private philanthropists, corporate partners, charitable foundations and statutory grant-making bodies.

The Development Assistant will provide administrative support to and act as the first point of contact for enquiries across the Development Operations, Corporate Partnerships, Private Philanthropy and Grants & Trusts teams. They will undertake a wide variety of tasks to support the work of the department across a number of fundraising disciplines. Their duties will include drafting donor correspondence and fundraising materials, assisting in the administration of fundraising events, managing the department`s in memorial giving scheme and supporting senior managers across the department.
