Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a well-established charity which has been operating since 1983. We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals’ physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.  

About the role
We are looking to appoint a Head of Income Generation for a 12 month maternity cover.

As Head of Income Generation you will lead a multi-discipline team generating income through a variety of channels, such as fundraising, retail, lottery, charitable trusts and corporate links.  You will provide effective line management and monitor financial results to ensure the team remain on track and deliver the Hospice’s challenging financial targets.
You will oversee all income generation activities and ensure high standards of governance and compliance are maintained.
The role requires someone with a proven track record in motivating and inspiring a team.  You will have outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to inspire staff and supporters. The successful candidate will be able to work confidently in a pressurised and deadline driven environment and be able to identify and seize new opportunities.

We are looking to appoint one person to the role of Head of Income Generation for a fixed term contract for 12 months.
