There has never been a more vital time to join St Rocco’s Hospice. We are a registered charity providing end of life care and holistic support to patients following a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. We serve the Warrington community (approximately 200k population) and put the patient at the centre of all we do, providing innovative, multiagency services to our patients and families.
Ensuring the right care at the right time by the right professional or support worker is a crucial part of our work, and it all requires funding. Currently, approximately 80% of funding for our services is generated by our income generation streams.
If we want to continue supporting the people of Warrington we need to raise £3 million each year by making the most of the income streams we already have - and exploring new ones.
About this role
As part of our strategic plan we are looking for a Hospice Director of Income Generation. You will provide critical leadership within the income generation directorate, leading highly motived managers and their teams. This role requires a strategic thinker and leader, someone who can not only spot opportunities but deliver on their potential.
You will lead a step change in how we engage and build partnerships with business and individuals, focusing on new revenue streams that have not been fully explored.
- You have an impressive track record of developing and implementing income generation and supporter engagement strategies.
- You have experience of securing significant funding through a range of channels including individual donors, high value supporters and corporate partners.
- You have achieved success in increasing engagement via digital fundraising platforms and websites.
- You are a confident communicator, and an accomplished presenter, passionate about what we do and able to motivate and inspire staff, supporters and volunteers.
- Previous staff-management experience is essential.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days between Monday to Sunday at days and times notified by your line manager. These hours do not include a 1/2 hour unpaid meal break.
The post is not a salary incremental post and pay reviews are at the discretion of the Hospice.
There will be travel within the local geographical region therefore a full driver’s licence and own car with a valid motor insurance certificate that shows fully comprehensive business use cover at Class 2 level is required.
