Competitive Salary and Benefits

Chichester Festival Theatre is one of the UK’s flagship theatres, renowned for the exceptionally high standard of its productions as well as the work with the community and young people. It is home to one of the country’s largest youth theatres with 800 members.

The Development Department has been hugely successful in capitalising on the support for Chichester Festival Theatre’s inspirational work on stage and in our community, doubling income from £600k to £1.2m over the past three years.

You will be joining an organisation which has proven its ability to attract significant funds. With a committed Executive team and Board of Trustees, you will have the opportunity to shape the fundraising strategy to create new opportunities for the future and take Chichester Festival Theatre forward into a new era of fundraising.

Having a passion for theatre and an understanding of Development for the performing arts you take a calm, measured approach to your work. Whilst able to develop a strategy and to influence at the highest levels, you also enjoy being the ‘face’ of fundraising to both internal and external audiences. Building on the knowledge of the current team, you will be skilled at maintaining existing relationships while developing new opportunities for the Theatre. To be successful in this role you will need a proven track record in raising funds from individuals, trusts and foundations and, ideally, the corporate sector.
