Fundraising Officer (Legacy Giving)

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Legacy Giving Officer 
Location: Flexible across West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England 
Contract type: Full time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £28,283 actual per annum

About the role: 

The Legacy team at Alzheimer’s Society has an enviable track record with income seeing exponential growth over the last 5 years achieving a record £23.5m for 2016/17. Legacy income accounts for almost 25% of the total income for the Society, enabling us to help those living with dementia and making a difference in their communities. 

This is an exciting time to join our team as a Legacy Giving Officer and help us to continue to grow in reputation as leaders in the sector. You will be responsible for promoting Gifts in Wills, to both our supporters and staff in the region, through a series of legacy events and supporter stewarding activities. 

About you: 

If you have experience in fundraising or sales this could be an excellent opportunity for you to expand your experience and truly help improve the lives of others. You will join an already established team of Legacy Giving Officers and you will work closely alongside other Regional Fundraising colleagues and the Operations Directorate to ensure our supporters are aware of these ways of giving, and by inspiring our supporters at legacy events.
