These are exciting times for the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the UK’s leading group of independent girls’ schools. And this is a great time to join us. Change is in the air – in the past year the GDST has transformed, rebranded and repositioned itself as a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation which is shaping the future of girls’ education. You may have seen the new advertising campaign which celebrates the confidence and fearlessness of GDST girls. We aim to raise our profile and be an instantly recognisable beacon in the sphere of education.

Our roots are very much in our charitable status, and we reinvest all our income back into our schools. We also provide bursaries for 1,100 girls every year, and our spending on bursaries and scholarships comes to over £13m annually. Fundraising and development therefore play a critical role going forward.

We are looking for an outstanding and energetic individual to turbo-boost our fundraising programme. As Head of Development, you will be responsible for spearheading a new strategy to create a step change in the fundraising activities of the GDST.

We are seeking an ambitious and creative development professional with an outstanding track record of strategic planning and major gift fundraising. Someone who shares our vision for the future of girls’ education and will embrace the opportunities to work with our stakeholders across the GDST network and beyond to enable this to happen. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of many gifted girls.
