Our programme works – last year we progressed 65% (1,656) of our participants into work, training or education.

Street League are going through an exciting period of development, with a revised strategy that will enable us to better improve the health and employability of more unemployed young people than ever before. The Trust Manager post will be critical in ensuring that we secure funding and develop relationships with new donors and further enhance and maximise existing funding relationships so that we can better support unemployed young people living in disadvantaged areas.

We deliver a range of sport and employability Academies across 14 regions and can promise a varied workload and plenty of scope to develop both local and national relationships.

We are looking for someone whose excellent writing ability is matched by first class stewardship skills along with a meticulous eye for detail. The role would suit a strategic thinker who has strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport quickly and of developing good internal and external working relationships. We have a strong portfolio of engaged funders such as Laureus Sport for Good and Comic Relief. We can offer opportunities to showcase our work, including visits from athletes, opportunities to meet young people, and other value-added activities.

The Trust Manager will line manage, nurture and develop the Trust Fundraiser, whose role focusses on securing funding for trusts that can give up to £25,000. Your role will focus on account managing and securing income from Trusts who have the capacity to give £25,000 - £150,000 per annum. As this is such a pivotal role, you will need to be highly competent and efficient, be able to work well under pressure to meet competing deadlines and priorities, be confident at creating budgets and able to work using your own initiative.

The role will be based in the Major Giving Team, which manages trusts, events, legacy and major donors. The team work together with the wider Commercial Team, which focus on fundraising[SD1]  (predominantly from corporates), alongside the Marketing Team and Operations. The Trust Team currently raise over £1.1M from trusts, approximately a fifth of Street League’s income. The team has grown recently to three members (including this post), who together manage grants with the current capacity to give from £5,000 to £800,000 per annum.

The postholder will be someone that has a successful track record in securing and exceeding targeted income from trusts, an ability to bring projects to life on the page and who is highly personable.
