The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) is looking for a Fundraising Manager who will play a key role in building and delivering the fundraising strategy. This is a very attractive opportunity for an energetic and talented fundraiser who is passionate about social impact and keen to use their skills to connect supporters with a youth-focused cause.

Job Purpose

The Fundraising Manager will work with the Fundraising Director to build and deliver the fundraising strategy. Given the start-up stage of QCT, this is a flexible and dynamic role. The Fundraising Manager will lead several initiatives like the excellent stewardship of existing supporters, the organisation of cultivation events and at least one new income stream.

Desirable skills and competencies:

  • Established fundraising (or sector with transferable skills) professional who brings creativity, enthusiasm, significant experience and proven success in working as part of a team to deliver a fundraising strategy, primarily focused on trusts and individual philanthropists;
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally with Fundraising related qualifications;
  • Knowledge and interest in fundraising trends and developments;
  • Excellent project management and organisation skills with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and to meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal, written and behavioural communication skills;
  • High level of self-motivation, action-oriented and able to use own initiative working;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and build relationships effectively with a variety of stakeholders and to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Experience working/volunteering in a third sector or social impact organisation and/or a proven passion about social impact/the youth-led development sector
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to form clear and strong recommendations;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages;
  • Experience and understanding of how to use a fundraising database.
