The Hospice’s ambition is to double the reach of their care over the next 10 years because the number of local people needing hospice care is projected to rise exponentially. Four Trustees complete their terms of office over the next year and The Charity is the starting search now for new Trustees to join the Board.

Our Board of 12 Trustees meets 7 times a year. We have 4 committees chaired by Trustees meeting 3- 4 times a year.  With 6 volunteers for every employee volunteers play a huge part in our work and £8 of every £10 we spend is raised by the public.

With a track record in good governance, diversity in expertise and lived experience is highly valued. The charity is particularly looking for:

Qualified accountants with an interest in the responsibilities of Treasurer

Clinical Pharmacists with strategic experience and palliative care expertise

Fundraising experience at scale

Information Security and corporate governance expertise and knowledge
