About the Role

We have an ambitious, but well-planned growth strategy for our International operations. In this role you will lead on the implementation of our Institutional Funding Strategy, ensuring that the Programme Development and Resourcing Team maximises both opportunities and income in the context of the wider International Strategy, achieving high levels of success.

You will also lead on the identification and development of strategic partnerships and lead or oversee our consortium bids. You will particularly focus on the preparation and submission of institutional funding proposals to strategically important donors including DFID, USAID and the EU.

You will line manage our Programme Design and Funding Specialist and manage consultants who will lead and support project development and biding processes. You will provide oversight to our grant compliance for institutional donors, ensuring it is applied across our teams. You will provide oversight, or lead, our programme development processes and, when required, provide them with technical support.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or able to demonstrate a similar level of insight and experience, you will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing institutional funding strategies.

You will bring significant experience of leading design processes to develop new programmes. You will have a strong track record of preparing and submitting successful proposals to institutional donors. You will have experience of working in an international NGO and of developing and sustaining external partnerships and networks.

You will have a strong commitment to working within a safeguarding framework together with an understanding of equal rights and equal opportunities.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, confident at both public speaking and workshop facilitation. You will have strong programme management skills and a good understanding of impact measurement.
