Senior Regional Fundraiser (Scotland)
JDRF

Job Description

The role of Senior Regional Fundraiser is vital to us in achieving our mission to eradicate type 1 diabetes.

Innovative research into type 1 diabetes is developing some of the most advanced technological treatments in healthcare, but in the UK health inequalities are rising as a result of a lack of access to technology.

JDRF has a vibrant community, from people who are newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes wanting more information to digital innovators with type 1 who are creating new open source technology treatments.

As the Senior Regional Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing and supporting fundraising in Central and South Scotland with a specific focus on Glasgow and Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for management of key flagships events including the Edinburgh Ball, One Walk and One Fun Run. You will pro-actively seek out new and innovative approaches to raising income that will support the research we fund.

You’ll have ownership and responsibility for third party fundraising in Central and South Scotland.

You will have previous experience of working in an events or community fundraising role, meeting and exceeding income targets and developing ideas which have led to successful outcomes.

You’ll also have previous line management experience as you will be line managing two regional fundraisers who are based in Aberdeen. Travel to the Aberdeen office is covered by JDRF.

You will have superb written and verbal communication skills, able to build lasting relationships and skilled at networking. You’ll have excellent creative, time management and planning skills.

In return we offer you flexible working, generous annual leave entitlement, season ticket or bike loan, employee assistance programme and a childcare voucher scheme. We have strong, positive values and friendly culture where we support you in developing your career aspirations.
