About us

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a well-established charity which has been operating since 1983. We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals’ physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

About the role

We are looking to appoint to the newly created post of Corporate Fundraiser in our Fundraising department.

As a Corporate Fundraiser, you will generate income by developing links with the Wigan and Leigh business community, encouraging companies and their staff to engage with and support the work of the hospice. You will establish and maintain successful partnerships with corporate supporters through donations, sponsorship, employee fundraising, volunteering and corporate events. Corporate Fundraiser will develop and deliver a corporate fundraising strategic plan to achieve an agreed income target.

Successful candidate will demonstrate experience of working successfully in corporate fundraising, a corporate social responsibility role or in a commercial ’business to business’ role. Experience of setting, working to and achieving financial targets and experience of relationship development with people at all levels.

The role requires someone who is educated to GCSE level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths. Fundraising qualification and degree level are desirable.

A Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS) will be required.

The available role
We are looking to appoint one person to this permanent role working 22.5 hours a week.
