The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 11 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated senior fundraiser to lead the Philanthropy strategy, maximise income from our key relationships and drive new business across Scotland. Based in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, this is an important role in the regional philanthropy team and sits within the wider national philanthropy team.

The Head of Philanthropy is responsible for securing income from trusts and foundations, and major donors, supporting a wider team target.  You will work closely with the Scottish Advisory Council and Senior Head of Partnerships to collaborate on place-based fundraising opportunities. You will be flexible to support the growth and development plans across regions.

You will need excellent relationship management skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels.  You will have a proven track record of securing new donor relationships and reaching financial targets. You will have excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

The Prince's Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check

A NOTE FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCIES
