Relationships Officer (Major Donor Fundraising)

Do you want to develop and manage relationships with a group of individuals who have the capacity to make a significant financial difference in support for London City Mission’s ministry and, in doing so, provide them with opportunities to make major gifts to London City Mission?

We are looking for a Relationships Officer with Major Donor Fundraising experience to inspire people to partner with London City Mission financially so more people can hear about Jesus.

About You

You are a professional major donor fundraiser with a heart for the gospel.

You inspire people and have experience managing donor relationships and successfully raising five-figure gifts from major donors.

You have experience and strong knowledge of using a CRM Database.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and get excited about using these skills to help people understand the part they can play in furthering the gospel.

About the Role

You will manage relationships with a group of major donors, inspiring support that leads to long-term partnership with London City Mission. You will ensure good stewardship of these relationships through regular communications and reporting. You will help to coordinate involvement of staff across the organisation in the programme and support the work of the wider Fundraising and Supporter Relations team.

You will have responsibility for:

Key Supporters

• Developing and managing relationships with a group of active Major Donors, regularly communicating the organisation’s vision with a passion for and understanding of the gospel message. (There will be an expectation from Major Donors – as evangelical Christians – that the Relationships Officer is also an evangelical Christian as it is likely there will be conversations around personal faith.)

• Supporting London City Mission staff in the management of relationships with Key Supporters

• Regular reporting of progress against agreed fundraising targets

• Assisting with supporter events

• Commitment to developing personal proficiency and adherence to best practice with the CRM database

Organisational representation

• Representing LCM at external events, including some Sundays and at a week-long conference each year

Providing support

• All activities and projects within the Fundraising and Supporter Relations Team 

The Relationships Officer role is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated fundraiser to make a significant difference in enabling LCM to share the gospel with more people, with the potential to look after an area autonomously if experienced.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent appointment. Flexible or working part-time will be considered.

There is an occupational requirement that the person appointed be an evangelical Christian.

Salary: £26,905 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
