Donor Relations Manager

The University of Edinburgh aspires to be a global leader in meaningful engagement and recognition of donors. We are seeking an extremely creative and thoughtful person who will work with their team and others to build on existing engagement opportunities while developing entirely new and innovative approaches that will deepen our relationships and attract the attention of new donors interested in partnering with us.

As one of the world’s top 20 universities, the University of Edinburgh is engaged in world-leading education and research across an impressive breadth of fields, and we have a powerful story to tell about the role philanthropy can play in accelerating our impact on people and communities in Scotland and around the globe. Philanthropy is taken seriously here as a force that allows us to do things that would otherwise not be possible, and to accelerate progress on issues that matter on and beyond campus, whether that’s expanding access to our world-class education through scholarships, or deepening and accelerating the societal benefits of our ground-breaking research. And in enabling state-of-the-art facilities, philanthropy helps attract and support the best students and researchers to Edinburgh to change the world.

The University of Edinburgh is an exciting, positive, creative, challenging, and rewarding place to work. The Development & Alumni team is ambitious and successful, and we’re proud to have built a collaborative and mutually-supportive environment in which all team members are encouraged to harness their full range of skills to achieve both their own goals and that of the wider department and university. We are halfway through delivering our business plan and on track to reach a key goal to double philanthropic income in a five-year period.
