Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Direct Marketing at Unicef UK is responsible for recruiting and developing support for Unicef’s work for children from individual members of the public.  We do this using a range of products, reaching people across a wide range of media including (but not limited to) Direct Mail, Email, SMS, Telephone, Door, Street, DRTV, Outdoor, and digital channels including Search, Social and Display.

As Direct Marketing Manager in the retention team, you will help to drive strategic development of one area of our retention programme – focusing on our direct debit or mobile regular giving products, or our cash programme. You will be a pivotal member of the team, supporting your direct reports in delivering campaigns, while working alongside the management team to shape and develop your strategy. You’ll be critical in helping us achieve our ambitious goals and growth targets.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experience, while maximising our opportunities to earn even more income for children. Solid experience of marketing campaign management is essential, but you’ll also understand how to develop direct marketing strategy. You’ll be adept at developing complex testing programmes and possess excellent communication skills that help you build strong relationships with colleagues, agencies and suppliers. You must also be skilled at managing multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a high level of drive and commitment.

Closing date: 5pm, Thursday 21 March 2019.

Interview date: Thursday 28 March 2019.

Unicef UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

We are happy to talk about flexible working, personal growth, and to promote a workplace where you can be yourself and achieve success based only on your merit.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
