Working with artists and partners from all over the world, we create world-class concerts, tours and special events including the EFG London Jazz Festival, the UK’s largest annual celebration of jazz. Serious is one of a kind and the Development Team play a key role in shaping the long-term strategy of the organisation, securing and managing income streams and supporting new and on-going relationships.

We are looking for a Development Manager with versatility and relationship management experience to join the team and help drive growth across various income streams and to manage the administration of our charity, Serious Trust. The Trust has a particular focus on raising funds to enable the growth of our:

- Learning and Participation programmes

- Artist development initiatives (Seriously Talented)

- Commitment to commissioning new work and facilitating new collaborations.

The main purpose of the job is to contribute to the development and implementation of Serious Trust’s fundraising strategy by working with the Head of Development to: articulate the case for support of the Trust and the context for its work; identify new fundraising opportunities from the broadest range of activities undertaken by our organisation; and secure funding from individuals, trusts and foundations, and other funding institutions as relevant.
