Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Unicef UK’s fundraising teams raise funds to support Unicef’s long-term development and emergency relief work for children. Our sector-leading Corporate Partnerships team secures and manages long term, multi-million pound partnerships with major UK companies including easyJet, Unilever, Arm and Manchester United, among others.

We are currently recruiting for a key role to join the Business Development team.  This is an exciting time to join an award winning team innovating with exceptional results.

This opportunity is for a talented Business Development professional who will help to acquire new partnerships across a range of business sectors. You will approach, negotiate and secure long term partnerships and you will have the opportunity to work with UK and international colleagues across the Unicef family on a broad range of partnership opportunities.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced corporate fundraiser with strong skills in partnership acquisition.  Equally, you may be an experienced sales or business development professional looking to use your talent to make an impact for children around the world.

Whether your experience is from the charity or private sector, you will have a track record of winning, negotiating and delivering six figure new business partnerships and you will excel at building and nurturing successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Results focused, you will enjoy working to ambitious income targets and work well under pressure, motivated by the opportunity to deliver change for children in danger.

Closing date: 5pm, Friday 12 April 2019.

Interview date: Thursday 25 April 2019.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.

Unicef UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
