We have two opportunities for skilled and enthusiastic fundraisers to be part of a developing team and help us to raise unrestricted funds from various sources (including: fundraising events, team sponsored challenges and partnerships with local businesses and organisations); to fund our programmed work to transform young lives.

The two roles are: a People & Communities Fundraiser, and a Partnership & Events Fundraiser. We will consider applicants looking to work full time (37.5  hpw), or part time (minimum 22.5 hours hpw).

The main responsibilities with these roles include:

  • initiating and managing various  fundraising events and sponsorship challenges;
  • engaging with local businesses and organisations;
  • developing and delivering activities to engage the support of individuals; community groups and churches; and growing volunteer support for the charity’s activities;
  • communicating with supporters, partners and the general public (through personal contact, presentations, print, press and digital media) in support of Romsey Mill’s work

Cambridgeshire is a growing county with a resilient economy.  It’s a great place to grow up, but not if you’re poor or experiencing disadvantage.  There is hidden and dispersed poverty in otherwise affluent areas; over 70% of families in poverty in Cambridgeshire live in less deprived areas, and these children often have the worst outcomes.

The impact that Romsey Mill makes on young lives is rooted in relationships. We create opportunities with children and families, so that they can begin to see change in their own lives and the world around them.   Our team of staff members and volunteers engages co-creatively with hundreds of local young people, children and families, every year

Applicants should be positive about working within an organisation with a Christian ethos and with various expressions of faith across all cultures and backgrounds.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and aspiring fundraisers to be part of a developing team, with a chance to widen their experience across a range of fundraising disciplines; generate new ideas and relationships; and make an impact with a creative and compassionate local charity making great difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families in Cambridgeshire.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
