The successful candidate will be experienced in seeking out new clients, managing and building relationships and have an extensive knowledge of direct marketing, ideally in the charity sector. The candidate will work with clients to develop appropriate and effective strategic fundraising and tactical implementation plans, and to ensure that Audience meets any objectives set out in such plans. They will ensure that we deliver the highest standard of account management service, leading and managing an account handling team.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Maintaining overall responsibility for each client within your direct or indirect remit – including ensuring that all campaigns are completed accurately, within budget, on time and to the highest possible standards.This includes a regular campaign management workload.

  • To build strong and trusting relationships with clients, ensuring that they receive clear, professional communications from Audience.

  • To ensure that we are proactive in driving existing accounts forward with appropriate, innovative proposals for new work.

  • To manage and organise production for specific campaigns including liaising with production management, creative, finance and account management colleagues and freelancers.

  • To manage the strategic development of clients’ accounts, including budgeting and planning each year’s activity.

  • To provide a monthly set of income/expenditure actuals and forecasts for all clients within your remit, to assist Audience financial planning.

  • To manage, develop and motivate an account team

  • To address any potential areas of concern at a senior level.

  • To play a key role within the New Business Team at Audience – along with the Partners, including leading pitches and drawing up new business strategies.

  • To represent AUDIENCE at a senior level – in all situations.

  • To develop internal and external systems and procedures, in order to make Audience’s service as professional, efficient and accurate as possible.

  • Help develop new products and pioneer with our clients.
