Job Summary

Adoption Matters is a registered children’s charity and an independent adoption agency approved by Ofsted. We are a not for profit organisation who work across local authority boundaries to provide a consistent high quality support for adopters and adopted children. We are the ONLY adoption agency in the North West to have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for the Four consecutive inspections.

Job Title: Fundraising and Relationship Manager

Salary: Up to NJC Scale 33 (£29,909) FTE

Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 22.5 hours)

Accountable to: Business Development Manager

Place of Work: Northwest (Salford based, or in any of our offices)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This is an exciting new position within the agency’s Business Development and Marketing Team and we are looking for someone with the passion and drive to help us maximize our charitable income generation potential.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Fundraising

  • Leading on the development and organization of fundraising events and activities for and on behalf of the agency. Responsibility for developing the agency’s annual calendar of fundraising events
  • Identifying key opportunities for charitable income generation from a range of sources
  • Working collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager to set annual targets for corporate fundraising income

Relationship Management

  • Building and maintaining relationships with companies and organisations (including sporting associations, community and faith-based groups, diocesan links, professional bodies etc) across the region(s) to initiate and develop corporate partnerships and identify, pitch and secure new business relationships and raise awareness of adoption.

Recent corporate fundraising experience, enthusiasm and tenacity are the most important requirements for this role, therefore there are no specific qualification requirements, however the successful candidate will be expected to have a very good standard of literacy and numerical skills.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
