We are looking for a full time Legacy and In Memory Marketing Executive to join our legacy fundraising team. If you’re looking for your first role in fundraising or marketing and you’d like to learn more as part of a growing team, then this could be the role for you. This is a varied role, where you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of channels, including direct mailings, digital and print advertising, and events. You will also work on ensuring that donors and those considering gifts in their Wills have a positive journey with Alzheimer’s Research UK.

As well as providing support to the legacy fundraising team, you will have the opportunity to work on your own marketing campaigns, including taking responsibility for our print advertising. Legacies and in memory giving account for a third of the income the Charity receives, so this is a role that makes a significant contribution to the Charity’s ability to fund life-changing research.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing excellent stewardship to supporters considering including a gift in their Will to Alzheimer’s Research UK, and those who have donated in memory, including providing information and sending thank-you letters.
  • Updating the Raiser’s Edge database with supporters’ permissions and preferences.
  • With support from the team, looking after press advertising including developing ad content, gaining sign off, measuring results and processing invoices.
  • Creating public-facing communications across the charity’s website and intranet.
  • Managing the stock of all our collateral, ensuring that there is enough stock available and that materials are distributed for all appropriate meetings and events.
  • Supporting the legacy fundraising team on a wide range of activities including direct mailings, advertising, and events.  

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and databases.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Experience of producing high quality work.

Location: Granta Park, near Cambridge.

Salary: Circa £19,500 per annum, plus benefits
