The Sporting Events Administrator role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. You will work closely with the rest of the Sporting Events team to drive the continued growth of the charity’s sporting event fundraising income. You will also be required to show excellent organisation and relationship-building skills to give supporters the best experience possible.

Main tasks of the role:

  • Provide excellent customer service to Sporting Event fundraisers, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.
  • Effective management of administrative support for team, including accurate recording of sporting fundraising data in The Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Managing the sporting events inbox, ensuring supporters receive an appropriate response in a timely manner.
  • Provide up to date reporting on the team’s event and income performance to the Sporting Events Manager (SEM) and Senior Sporting Events Manager (SSEM)
  • Onboard new supporters for the Sporting Events Team, responding in a timely manner and delivering an excellent first impression.
  • Delivering stewardship programmes or supporting in ad hoc stewardship of events.

What we’re looking for:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, in Maths and English
  • Experience of supporting donors or working in another customer service role
  • Excellent, enthusiastic telephone manner
  • A professional and hard-working team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and databases.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

There is a possibility that the position will allow some homeworking.

Location: Granta Park, near Cambridge.

Salary: Circa £19,000 per annum, plus benefits
