Recent graduates are welcome to apply, as well as individuals with work experience in fundraising and in other sectors.

The successful candidate will be keen to learn and take on new challenges, and we hope this will be the first step in their career in fundraising. Line-managed by the Individual Giving Officer, the role sits within our ambitious, friendly and supportive Fundraising Team, who work to a fast pace and are open to creative thinking and new ways of working.

Therefore, the role includes administrative, communications and fundraising duties. The right candidate will be keen to work across and gain experience in all aspects of the fundraising team’s work. This is very much a hands-on role, requiring a flexible approach, a positive outlook and the ability to work transparently and collaboratively.

To be successful as a Fundraising Assistant you will have strong written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills and competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office software and using the internet for research.

You’ll have a commitment to excellent supporter care, and a personal, creative approach to relationship management and stewardship and have experience of working in a fundraising, marketing or customer services capacity is essential to this role.

It would be beneficial to the role if you had experience of using Raisers Edge or another customer relationship management database and working in fundraising, particularly individual giving, community and events fundraising.

Experience in a customer or donor facing role with working knowledge and understanding of Africa and the development context would be highly advantageous.

You may have experience of the following: Fundraising Assistant, Fundraising Coordinator, Fundraising Administrator, Fundraising, Fundraiser, Charity, Third Sector, Charities, Not For Profit, NFP, etc.
