ANIMAL AID Head of Fundraising

We have a rare and exciting opportunity to lead Animal Aid’s fundraising team.

Animal Aid is one of the UK’s longest established and most respected animal rights organisations. We campaign peacefully to bring an end to animal suffering, and promote cruelty-free living. Our main areas of campaigning are animal farming and slaughter, animal experiments, horse racing, shooting, wildlife culls and promoting veganism. From political lobbying, to hard-hitting undercover investigations, and high-profile media work, we work tirelessly to speak out for the most vulnerable animals. In 2017, our achievements included:

  • Convincing the government to make CCTV mandatory for all slaughterhouses in England
  • Stopping disastrous plans to race horses in central London
  • Helping to prevent two fox culls from taking place

Whilst we achieve a lot, Animal Aid is a relatively small and very friendly organisation. Our office in Tonbridge is a vibrant and supportive place to work, where everyone shares the same ethos. Our Fundraising Team plays a vital role in enabling our crucial work for animals to continue.

Now is an incredibly exiting time to take the lead in Animal Aid’s Fundraising department. We have recently developed a dynamic new fundraising strategy, and you will be responsible for taking this forward and making sure that we increase our capacity to make a real difference for animals. There is plenty of scope for bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the role, as well as evaluating the success of existing schemes.

You will line-manage two members of staff – our Senior Fundraiser (part-time) and Supporter Engagement Officer – and report to the Director.

Candidates who have good experience but may not meet all requirements are welcome to apply and will be considered for a role as a senior fundraiser.  Additional training will be provided, where necessary.
