Animals Asia is a fundraisers dream.  This is an organisation which works collaboratively and successfully with programmes; where fundraising is understood, valued and celebrated.  Led from the front by an inspirational founding CEO who is loved and respected by donors and employees, there is an extraordinary sense of family here and a motivating, effective drive towards our clear vision.

Our three primary goals are to end bear bile farming, end the cat and dog meat trade and to improve the lives of animals in captivity, in particular by bringing an end to the use of animal performances.  We are pioneers in all these issues and each year we are making significant, permanent and historic changes.  Last year, we signed an MOU with the Vietnamese Government to end bear bile farming entirely by 2022.  Fundraising here is as rewarding as it is exciting.

A rare opportunity to join the European and UK team has arisen by the creation of a new role.  We have an extensive and established network of loyal, generous mid and major donors who are already passionate about our vision and work.  We are now looking for a passionate Major Donor fundraiser who will provide them with an exceptional supporter journey to enhance their engagement and support.

This is a senior position in the UK team where you will be given the full remit for Major Donors.  You will probably have a similar current role in a smaller organisation or perhaps a mid-level management post in a larger Major Donor team. This role includes the line management of a talented, part time Trusts and Grant Manger and the opportunities to grow your team will be commensurate with your success.  You will be given the freedom and scope to run your programmes autonomously, coupled with the support to grow and develop as required.  We are looking for you to bring your skills to the table and let them shine through your results. You will play a deputising role to the Director who is committed to personal development and will support your own training and growth.

You will join a global team with colleagues in Germany, the US, Australia and Hong Kong who work closely together using Skype and WebEx so you will need to be able to manage early morning meetings and late evening team calls as required.  This is primarily a business development role so you must be a self-starter, bringing endless enthusiasm, drive, initiative.  You will be a solution focused ‘can-do’ fundraiser who will see opportunities in every challenge.

In return, you will get the chance to join a talented, passionate team in a forward thinking charity with huge scope for skill development and flexible working.  If you are vegan or vegetarian, you will find many kindred spirits here (although this is by no means a prerequisite).

Full candidate pack attached.
