Director of Fundraising, Membership & Communications
Salary: Negotiable from £37,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
Hours: Full time, 37 per week (however we may also consider applications for part time)
Location: Bristol

Avon Wildlife Trust has an ambitious vision to restore the abundance of wildlife throughout our area and exciting plans to invest in our future. We want to build on our successful conservation and engagement work by developing and improving more nature reserves for wildlife and visitors, upgrading and expanding our facilities for education and community engagement, and developing new headquarters for the Trust.

We are looking for a new Director of Fundraising, Membership and Communications to continue to grow our membership, increase our income and shape our communications to help us achieve this vision.

Our ideal candidate will be a highly successful fundraising and communications manager, an exceptional fundraiser with the capacity to take the step up, or a highly capable sales/business manager with excellent people skills and the ability to make the transition.

You will be a key member of the senior leadership team at the Trust, helping to shape and deliver our strategy and direction, supported by a small team of specialist fundraisers and communications professionals.

Avon Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to working with local people for local wildlife in the West of England region (Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire). It is supported by more than 18,000 members and manages over 30 local nature reserves. It is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts in the UK, who are currently campaigning for stronger legislation for the protection and restoration of wildlife.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a first interview on Friday 27th July.
Applicants may be asked to attend a second interview on Thursday 2 August.
