Corporate Fundraising Manager – Barnardo’s Scotland

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow with flexible working available

Hours: 36.25 (with flexible hours considered) 

Contract: 12 months (Maternity Cover)

Barnardo’s is Scotland’s largest children’s charity, supporting over 27,000 vulnerable children, young people and families through 130 community-based services. Barnardo’s believes in children, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. It believes a child’s future should never be defined by their past.


Barnardo’s focuses on supporting children affected by issues including sexual exploitation and abuse, domestic violence, parental mental ill health and those in and leaving care. The charity also provides an adoption and fostering service to find a loving home for children and helps young people to access employment and training. In addition, Barnardo’s has 100 retail stores in communities throughout Scotland.
 

The Role

This is a key new business role which involves growing the number of corporate partnerships, proactively targeting sectors and companies in line with the Scottish Fundraising Strategy and the UK-wide Corporate Fundraising Strategy. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in corporate fundraising or business development. 

You will be required to think conceptually and creatively to develop fundraising proposals, as well as managing account plans and delivering financial targets.  Communication skills with proven networking ability at all levels up to board level in formal and social situations are essential.
