Bespoke Content Officer

A life-changing opportunity

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

Position: Bespoke Content Officer
Location: London
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £32,326.00 per annum (actual)

Closing date: 28 September 2017
Interview date: Monday 9 October, afternoon

About the role:

Fundraising at Alzheimer’s Society is growing fast. We raised nearly £70m last year, 12% more than the previous year, and we’re aiming for £100m by 2022 so that we can bring help and hope to everyone living with dementia. Can you help us make it happen?

Our high-value teams are building great relationships with prospective funders and we need you to help us turn those opportunities into donations. You’ll review a brief, understand the funder’s interests and check where funds are needed to suggest projects that might inspire them. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the charity to understand projects and interrogate budgets. Then you’ll use all your creative flair to produce a written proposal that combines great copy with a compelling case for support.

A great chance to act as an ambassador for people affected by dementia, this role offers the opportunity to showcase your creativity and ability to inspire with words, and to build productive relationships across a busy organisation.

About you:

You’ll have proven experience of writing persuasively for a demanding audience, and particularly in making complex concepts accessible. You’ll enjoy finding solutions to challenges and be comfortable managing your workload to meet deadlines and make the most of opportunities.

Alzheimer’s Society is committed to equal opportunities.

You may have experience of the following: Bespoke Content Manager, Content Writer, Copywriter, Fundraising, Third Sector, Charity, Not for Profit, Marketing Communications Officer, etc.
