Centre Manager (Llandudno) £53,688 per annum

At Blind Veterans UK, we believe that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone. It is our mission to achieve ‘Victory over sight loss’ through ensuring that blind ex-Servicemen and women have access to the finest quality of services to help them discover a life beyond losing their sight.  An exciting key position within the Charity has become available:

We are looking for an inspirational leader to take overall operational responsibility for our 59 bed centre in Llandudno.  This multi-purpose Centre is active and open throughout the year delivering a variety of residential and day services to blind veterans including: rehabilitation and wellbeing services; respite care; holidays and activity breaks.

We are looking for a collaborative, forward looking manager who has the experience and qualities to lead a large and diverse team of staff, and volunteers. They will have a natural ability to inspire and support others to provide excellence in all aspects of the Centre’s work.  Resourceful and proactive with a positive attitude, the person we are looking for will have the skills and aptitude to represent Blind Veterans in the region and beyond.  Experience in the charity sector is not essential but a sound understanding of the professional standards for rehabilitation and care staff in relation to adults with disabilities and extensive operational and people management experience, are.

This is an exciting time to join Blind Veterans UK, as we embark upon our new strategic growth plan for the next 5 years.  Our priorities for the future have been clearly set out and we continue to reach an increasing number of members who need our help.
