Head of National Programmes

£47,716 - £53,018 per annum (dependent on location)

At Blind Veterans UK, we believe that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone.  It is our mission to ensure that blind ex-Servicemen and women have access to the finest quality of services to help them discover life beyond sight loss.

Do you have an excellent understanding of rehabilitation services and superb interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to influence others?

As Head of National Programmes, you’ll ensure our Community and Centre based Rehabilitation Services are delivered in an integrated, efficient and forward thinking way. You’ll oversee coordination of bookings programming for our nineteen Communities and Centres in Brighton and Llandudno, and be accountable for the national performance of our rehabilitation service.

Within this role you’ll lead our pilot projects, designed to improve and expand the Services we offer our Blind Veterans, including our Community IT project and the design and delivery of our Community Welcome Programmes.

The ideal candidate will have an in depth understanding of rehabilitation processes and delivery to adults with disabilities and sound awareness of legislation relating to adult social care. Also essential is practical experience of MIS and CRM, along with a proven ability to develop IT systems to support service delivery.

You’ll have exceptional people skills, with a proven ability to lead; support; influence and motivate. Proactive and with a “can do” attitude, you’ll be focussed on outcomes and be able to give sound facilitation and guidance.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a relevant degree (or equivalent professional experience) are essential.

Benefits include free life assurance and a generous pension scheme.
